Welcome

We are Charlotte and Robin, the people behind SE*Ferox Lynx, a small Maine Coon cattery in Asmundtorp near Landskrona, Skåne, Sweden. Our cattery name has been registered with SVERAK since 2017. Our cats are much-loved members of our family and our kittens grow up in a home environment.

Breeding Philosophy

We value health, temperament, breed type and carefully considered pedigrees. Each combination is planned individually, with time to evaluate both our breeding cats and their kittens. Our cats share our home and have access to enclosed outdoor cat runs when the weather allows.

We work with responsible breeders who share our approach to the cats’ welfare and long-term breeding goals. A breeding cat should be a family member living with the breeder.

Health & Genetic Testing

Our breeding programme includes DNA testing for HCM, PK deficiency and SMA, together with HCM ultrasound examinations. We also carry out periodic Giardia and Tritrichomonas testing through SVA.

Testing is part of responsible breeding, rather than a guarantee that a cat will never develop disease. Please refer to each cat’s individual profile for the documented information available for that cat, and contact us if you need further details.

Pedigrees & Bloodlines

Pedigree research is part of how we evaluate breeding combinations. Links to the available pedigree records are included in our cat profiles. We are happy to discuss a specific pedigree and our reasoning with a fellow breeder.

A cat without a pedigree is considered a domestic cat, even if both parents are purebred. A pedigree documents the cat’s registered ancestry; photographs and a breed-like appearance cannot replace it.

International Breeder Enquiries

We welcome enquiries from registered breeders who share our commitment to health, temperament and responsible care. Please tell us about your registered cattery, breeding goals, experience and the home you can offer.

Any possible breeding placement is discussed individually. An enquiry does not imply availability, breeding rights or an agreement. Export requirements and any transport arrangements would need to be considered separately for the particular destination and cat.
